Knowing and understanding your equipment, environment and how you might impact your surroundings is paramount. We deliver a range of courses to help you with your ROV/Underwater Drone experience. Whether you’re a complete novice or a seasoned pro, we’re here to help.

Introduction to Underwater ROV

This training course offers an introduction into the safe operation of Underwater ROV, through exposure to theoretical basics and practical implementations of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This course aims to enable operators to confidently drive, maintain and successfully implement ROVs within their workflows and industry across a range of use cases.

A brief background of robotics and ROVs is discussed while a variety of teaching and learning strategies have been considered and implemented to uphold active engagement. Course objectives and learning outcomes are defined and outlined in alignment with the course structure to provide clear goals and a pathway to proficiency. In addition, students will be assessed by a theoretical and practical assessment, with a given marking criteria, to ensure they have met the minimum requirements to safely operate the ROV without supervision.
